Taking a Stand Against Knife Crime Together - KNIFE CRIME AWARENESS WEEK 18-24 MAY |
||
|
Monday 18th May marks the start of knife crime awareness week (hosted by the Ben Kinsella Trust https://benkinsella.org.uk/knife-crime-awareness-week/). This is a week for all of us - families, businesses, and local authorities - to take a stand and show that knife crime is preventable.
Helpful resources can be found at https://benkinsella.org.uk/knife-crime-training-for-parents-and-carers/.
While the police will be increasing activity to investigate and deter crime in our neighbourhoods, you can play a vital part in keeping our streets safe. If you have a knife you shouldn’t have, or know of one that needs to be removed, please use your nearest amnesty bin. The bins are a London-wide initiative providing a safe and anonymous way for individuals to dispose of knives and other weapons.
Your nearest amnesty bin is located outside the Kingsmill Business Park on Chapel Mill Road, Kingston, KT1 3GZ.
